Renew Office License

If your Office has expired, you can renew it with the following commands.
You need administrator rights. If you do not have administrator rights, ask HIH IT Service.

1. Open cmd as administrator (right mouse button, run as administrator). Then copy the following commands into the cmd console:

cd c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office16

1b. If this does not work, a 32-bit Office is installed. Then enter this command:

cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office16

2. Use this command to set a new license server:

cscript ospp.vbs /sethst:129.143.131.8

3. Activate new server with this command:

cscript ospp.vbs /act

Optional. You can use this command to check whether the activation was successful.

cscript ospp.vbs /dstatus
